A commissioned sculpture, Strataspire 39, in welded steel, by Joe Mross & Archive Designs. Evocative of an artifact from the distant past—possibly the 39th similar object discovered—with qualities both artificial and natural, but changed by erosion and exposure of the ages, this large free-standing monolith showed at the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon, in 2019. The clients graciously allowed Joe Mross to delay installation in their bamboo garden to allow time to exhibit this piece.
